The Omenn-Darling Bioengineering Institute at Princeton University invites applications for the ODBI2 (Omenn-Darling Bioengineering Institute Innovators) Fellows Program. ODBI2 Fellows will work with two or more Princeton faculty to establish an interdisciplinary research plan for bioengineering projects to be performed as part of the growing ODBI community. Fellows who ignite new collaborations between faculty in ODBI and across the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and the broader University community are strongly encouraged. We particularly welcome applicants who will pursue projects to develop novel technologies, and utilize new tools for addressing fundamental questions about living systems, and/or harnessing these systems for applications.Why you should apply:-Offers a true "Pathway to Independence": Fellows gain experience in guiding their own new research directions, including managing a research budget of up to $25,000 per year.-Dual faculty mentors and interdisciplinary research program: Receive the benefits of traditional postdoctoral training, but with the opportunity for dual mentorship across different labs and disciplines.-Leadership and community: Fellows will help advance new programming, host speakers, and form new connections in our community.Appointments are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding. Expected Salary Range: $70,000
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
