About the Role:
The National Senior Director, US Field Medical is responsible for the direct leadership of the Chronic Rhinosinusitis without Nasal Polyps (CRSsNP) Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team members and any Regional Directors in support of the execution of all Field Medical strategies, responsibilities, and initiatives for respective therapeutic area. The National Director will provide significant input into designing, developing, and implementing the medical strategy, specifically creating the strategy for their respective field medical team, and in contribution to the broader medical strategic imperatives for the company. The National Director will be accountable for attainment of US medical and business objectives for their respective therapeutic area field medical team. This role requires significant collaboration and partnering with leadership of other therapeutic field teams to communicate learnings, standard processes, and insights. This role will require collaboration to ensure organization execution.

What You'll Do:
- Establishes a plan and vision for therapeutic area field team. Align field strategy with overall medical/brand strategy.
- Fully accountable for people management of Regional Directors and MSL team members. Responsibilities include leadership, performance management, recruiting, training, coaching, and directing field medical activities .
- Mentors Regional Directors for growth and development and increased engagement in role. Achieves high standards of individual and team performance through an effective learning environment!
- Creates a thriving leadership mentality resulting in a positive team culture.
- Leads and implements the development of therapeutic area field medical goals, territory medical actions plans and overall achievement of field medical results. Effectively measures, monitors, and reports progress against goals, projects, and initiatives.
- Provides insights and input to enhance medical strategy and key initiatives. Effectively leads and sponsors projects and workstreams. Deploys problem solving and solution development to leading Field Medical execution.
- Serves as a national medical and scientific resource to Insmed for planning, clinical insights, and intelligence!
- Serves as a national medical and scientific resource to Insmed for planning and medical insights. Demonstrates field therapeutic area expertise, high scientific knowledge, and competency of Insmed therapeutic area, products and competitor data.
- Supports research and development programs as requested by Insmed R&D, Clinical Development & Operations, and Medical Affairs Departments.
- Partners with Clinical teams and Therapeutic Area leads to supply to pipeline and clinical trial activities to further clinical development.
- Builds strategic and working relationships with external HCPs, organizations, providers, and partners.
- Demonstrates strong market and customer knowledge as well as a strong patient centricity.
- Leadership oversight for the selection, hiring of key talent and training for field medical positions resulting in a high quality, Field Medical team.
- Excels in working relationships across all Insmed departments and functions. Further proactive communication with Commercial, other Medical Affairs functions, Clinical and business partners as it relates to Field Medical activities.
- Direct accountability for creating and maintaining therapeutic area budget. Fiscal responsibility for ensuring respective Field Medical team operates within the annual budget.
- Ensures respective Field Medical team operates within all Insmed policies, SOPs, legal, compliance and regulatory guidance.
- Always maintain regulatory and compliance expertise on internal and external regulatory practices. Accountable for compliance within the team, including regular monitoring. Allocates MSL resources in a way that delivers results on business/clinical strategies.
Up to 80% travel.
Who You Are:
- Strategic leadership experience required. Ability to set a vision and plan for a field medical team.
- Advanced science / clinical degree, from an accredited institution, (PharmD, M.D., DO, Ph.D., PA, NP) with five (5) or more years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, with 8+ years preferred, in a Field Medical leadership role or other relevant management experience. Other biotechnology role experiences may be considered: Medical Information, Medical Strategy, Medical Excellence or Clinical trial management.
- People management experience, with demonstrated skill in coaching, leadership and personnel development, or shown experience preferred.
- Experience leading field-based medicine or medical affairs projects and mentoring regional field medical leaders and MSLs is highly preferred.
- Product launch leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Flexibility in adapting/reacting to changing market dynamics and competitive challenges. Tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to be flexible within the work environment. High sense of urgency and commitment to excellence in the achievement of objectives. Excellent planning and mastery of skills to demonstrate leadership and initiative.
- Effective presentation skills and proficiency in interpersonal skills (listening, probing, persuasiveness, negotiation) are important for engaging successfully and productively with customers, field colleagues, business partners and internal collaborators.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and demonstrate a One Insmed mentality.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and problem solving.
- Demonstrates exceptional business judgment and the ability to influence and lead without authority. Clear strategic, tactical, and visionary capabilities with the ability to establish, articulate, and pull through vision for their team.
- Mastery to run multiple priorities. Must be able to identify and analyze the needs of the business and translate problems into business opportunities.
- Knowledge of the PhRMA code of conduct, the Sunshine Act, HIPAA regulations, Promotional Regulations, and all laws and regulations that are applicable to the role.

$246,000.00-304,000.00 Annual
