About the Role:
The Associate Scientist will work with a multidisciplinary team of research scientists to investigate therapeutics for treating neutrophil-mediated diseases across several pre-clinical projects. This will involve assisting with tasks such as cell culture, in vitro hematopoietic stem cell expansion and differentiation, in vitro compound screening, performing enzymatic assays, ex vivo sample processing, as well as conducting various molecular biology techniques including flow cytometry, western blot, and ELISA.
What You'll Do:
- Culture primary cells and continuous cell lines such as neutrophils, hematopoietic stem cells, immune cells, and/or relevant cell lines to support in vitro/ex vivo experiments.
- Perform and optimize in vitro assays to support compounds screening.
- Conduct molecular biology techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and western blot.
- Use plate readers, fluorescence microscopy, and flow cytometry.
- Process, analyze, and interpret complex datasets using Excel, XLfit, FlowJo, and GraphPad Prism to generate insights that support decision-making.
- Prepare concise PowerPoint presentations to communicate key data and findings.
- Maintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and results via an electronic laboratory notebook.
- Author and review technical reports and related documentation.
- Present scientific data and key findings at internal research meetings
- Prepare and maintain a constant supply of reagents, buffers, and other materials to support on-going assays.
Who You Are:
- Master's degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related subject area with at least 3 years of pharmaceutical experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in cell culture and standard molecular biology assays, including enzymatic assays, flow cytometry, and western blot.
- Proficiency in data processing, analysis, statistics, and data interpretation.
- Experience working with cellular imaging instruments, fluorescence microscopes, ELISA, and qPCR.
- Experience working with immune cells and hematopoietic stem cells.
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a team environment, while also taking initiative independently.
- Ability to train others in fields of personal expertise.
- A high degree of organization and time management skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data and ideas.

Pay Range:
$89,000.00-119,267.00 Annual
