About the Role:
The Associate Director of Medical Insights & Analytics will combine Medical Affairs and data analytic expertise to build analytic capabilities to support data driven decision making in Medical Affairs. This role will collaborate with Medical Affairs stakeholders (Medical Strategy, Field Medical, Medical Excellence, HEOR, Medical Information) to define key analytical needs to inform strategy and track progress. This individual will track Global Medical Affairs activity, metrics, and impact and enable course correction. The Associate Director of Medical Insights & Analytics will partner and collaborate with IT.
What You'll Do:
- Data Strategy & Governance: Responsible for compliant and appropriate data use, support data quality and governance.
- Insights Analysis: Analyze insights from across Medical Affairs sources identifying trends and sentiment. Report findings including recommendations for actionable insights to cross-functional teams to drive strategy.
- Data Informed Strategy: Enable Medical Affairs Teams with data, tools, and models to inform prioritization of activity and planning (i.e. channel engagement, ME identification and segmentation, etc. ) Drive ad-hoc analyses to support Medical Affairs strategic understanding to enable launch preparation and success.
- Metric and Impact Tracking: Track and report medical affairs metrics and impact vs targets. Define innovative impact use cases. Identify when course correction needed based on progress.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across Medical Affairs functions to understand and build analytic capabilities to meet business needs. Collaborate with Commercial Effectiveness to identify and build compliant data synergies. Collaborate with IT on infrastructure, tools, models, and capabilities.
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with IT to translate business requirements into clear, concise user stories
- Dashboard Creation: Partner with IT todevelop real-time, automated dashboards integrating multiple data sources for impact assessment.
- Franchise Support: Provide support across assigned brands/functions and seek to drive consistency across the franchise and identify synergies across brand teams.
- Knowledge: Develop expertise in relevant therapeutic areas including Insmed and competitor products to ensure accurate data interpretation.
Who You Are:
- Bachelors degree required in data science field, other advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred or Life science qualification (i.e. PharmD) with data and analytic experience
- 5-7 years of experience in analytics within the biopharmaceutical industry required. Prior Medical Affairs experience strongly preferred.
- Rare disease / respiratory /immunology /dermatology experience preferred
- Product launch experience preferred
- Experience with data tools, such as SQL, Python, and Excel; programming skills with SQL
- Experience with Smartsheet and Qlik
- Ability to understand different data sets to utilize in building models to support business questions.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into solutions.
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and project management skills
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness
- Ability to make the complex simple; adept at translating complex analytical results into compelling business stories
- Excellent collaborative, consultative and solution-minded approach to working across multiple functions
- Proactivity in mining and understanding data interdependencies and trends
- Self-motivated, with a sense of urgency
- Forward-looking with continuous process improvement mentality
- Ability to lead complex projects with a pragmatic approach
- Strong strategic thinking with ability to connect multiple components

Pay Range:
$147,000.00-206,333.00 Annual
