Job DescriptionThe Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co-op) education that lasts up to 6 months and will include one or more projects. Our Company's Research Lab's Quality Assurance department is seeking a co-op student who will work collaboratively in a team environment to help advance Quality throughout the drug development life cycle. Our Company's Research Lab's Quality Assurance department is comprised of various teams that maintain quality focus at each critical stage of development. This position will be assigned to projects within Research Clinical Quality Assurance and Analytics & Technology Systems (AnTS) teams.
Co-op assignments are directly dependent on the specific QA team supported. The specific location of the position (Rahway, NJ or West Point, PA) is also based on the location of the host team.
This position is anticipated to be located at either our Company West Point, PA or Rahway, NJ site.
Co-op Opportunity:
The Company's Research Clinical Quality Assurance (RCQ) team serves as an essential independent function with accountability to lead and support audits focused on a risk-based approach with the goal of driving continuous improvement and innovative audit strategies. The team's mission is to safeguard the rights and well-being of patients and comply with applicable global regulatory requirements through sound processes and procedures by providing independent assurance that our Company delivers high quality data and clinical services.
The RCQ team focuses on conducting investigator site audits, study level audits, process audits and due diligence assessments while also providing support to the business through various oversight activities and process improvement initiatives driving forward innovation and collaboration.
QA's RCQ Analytics & Technology/Systems (AnTS) team provides the foundation to identify, explore, and efficiently develop technology solutions to enhance our quality oversight activities, by building and enhancing solutions, dashboards, and applications in cooperation with Digital/ IT partners.
AnTS also educates and increases awareness on Analytics/AI/Data Science capabilities through trainings, governance councils, and touchpoints. The team also leads inter-company workstreams to leverage data science opportunities in Our Research Lab's QA, launches exploratory projects using advanced analytics driven by business value and facilitates identification of AI and non-AI Use cases.
The RCQ co-op position will primarily be involved in advancing RCQ's initiatives and projects. Co-op activities may include supporting innovative technology solutions, such as development / testing of dashboards, AI solutions, and new capabilities. The Co-op may also support some of the projects in a project management capacity. The candidate will have an opportunity to collaborate across Our Research Lab's QA, which will provide greater understanding of the role of Quality Assurance across the drug development continuum.
The Co-ops in QA will also have the opportunity to network with the QA Leadership Team, which will provide a broad perspective on quality throughout the drug development continuum. They will also:
• Gain an understanding of the phases of drug development.
• Gain an understanding of the importance of quality in ensuring the rights and well-being of patients and the welfare of animals; helping to meet the intent of global regulatory requirements through robust processes and procedures; and ensuring subject, company, and regulatory confidence and public trust in our Company.
• Interact with our company employees who have broad experience across the pharmaceutical industry.
We are seeking Co-op candidates at all levels with strong academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi-functional environment.
Education:
- Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to 6 months in 2026.
- Candidates must have completed at least (2) years of studies toward a bachelor's degree by December 2025.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Candidates must be a current student (sophomore, junior or senior) enrolled in a B.S. or graduate student enrolled in a M.S. in Scientific/Engineering/Data Analytics/IT/Public Health/Business or related field program.
- Candidates must have strong organizational skills.
- Candidates must have demonstrated ability to take initiative and own deliverables.
- Candidates must have demonstrated interpersonal skills including flexibility, collaboration and inclusion skills, and ability to work in a team environment. Candidates must have demonstrated self-starter with capability to develop innovative solutions to challenges.
- Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must be comfortable with Problem-Solving.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Candidates should have an interest in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics/Data Science, Biology/Chemistry, Health Care, Health Science, or Pharmacy.
- Experience with or exposure to development of Dashboards, Analytics, Data Science,or AI solutions preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project) preferred.
- Advanced Excel, Word, PowerApps, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign skills preferred.
- Project Management Skills preferred (MS Project).
- Technical Writing Experience preferred.
- Experience with document management systems (e.g., FirstDoc, Veeva, Documentum, SharePoint) preferred.

Salary range:
The salary range for this role is $39,600.00-$105,500.00 USD
